Hi Soleille

You would need to convert one or other value so you are using the same units. In your case you could convert 16GB to KB (16 × (1024^2) = 16777216 KB) and then perform the division: 16777216 / 15365 = ~1092 apache instances. But bear in mind that you would want to take into account other programs which need to use RAM, so I wouldn’t advise allocating this many instances. I’d look at what your OS is using as well as any other programs and ensure the amount of RAM you use for the calculation allows for this.

“Take this value and divide that into your RAM capacity,”

The ssh command returned this for me : 15365.1KB
I have 16 Gibabytes RAM. So I divide 15365 by 16 ?…
